Freeplane launch failure in Eclipse

Volker Börchers
Administrator
Hi,

I have followed

http://freeplane.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Git_howto#gradle_build_.28.3E.3D_1.4.1.29

freeplane-osgi.launch does't start with

Branch: 1.4.x
(K)ubuntu 14.04
Eclipse 4.3.0 and 4.3.2
OpenJDK 1.6 and 1.7 + Oracle JDK 1.8.0_11
Gradle 2.3

Output:

> Configuration location:
>     file:/home/vboerchers/workspace-freeplane/.metadata/.plugins/org.eclipse.pde.core/freeplane-osgi/
> Configuration file:
>     file:/home/vboerchers/workspace-freeplane/.metadata/.plugins/org.eclipse.pde.core/freeplane-osgi/config.ini loaded
> Install location:
>     file:/opt/eclipse-kepler-java/
> Framework located:
>     file:/opt/eclipse-kepler-java/plugins/org.eclipse.osgi_3.9.1.v20140110-1610.jar
> Framework classpath:
>     file:/opt/eclipse-kepler-java/plugins/org.eclipse.osgi_3.9.1.v20140110-1610.jar
> Debug options:
>     file:/home/vboerchers/workspace-freeplane/debug.properties loaded

After that output the application hangs with no window opened. Debugger
shows that the [Framework Active Thread] waits in Framework.run() line 1862.

Any ideas anyone?

Fortunately freeplane core.launch works after fixing the used JDK.

Regards,
Volker

Hi,

we have seen this problem recently. Try to create a new workspace and import all projects into it.
